Company  ·  Suppliers

Suppliers and
supply chain.

We build the autonomy; we do not pretend to build everything else. Sensors, compute, propulsion, radios, structures and manufacturing all come from companies that do those things better than we could — and choosing them well is a genuine engineering decision, not a procurement formality.

Our Approach

Suppliers are
design partners.

§ 01 / APPROACH

In a size-, weight- and power-constrained system, component choices dictate what is architecturally possible. A sensor's characteristics change what perception can achieve; a compute module's thermal envelope changes what autonomy can run. We would rather involve suppliers early, as design partners, than issue a specification at the end.

We are a small company at an early stage, so we are direct about scale: our volumes today are development volumes. What we can offer instead is a serious technical relationship, clear requirements, and prompt, honest communication.

What We Source

Areas where we
work with suppliers.

If your company works in any of these areas, we would be glad to hear from you.

§ 02 / CATEGORIES
01

Sensors & imaging

Cameras and sensing across conditions where ordinary imaging struggles — low light, poor weather, long range.

02

Embedded compute

Small, efficient compute capable of running real-time perception and autonomy within tight thermal and power limits.

03

Propulsion & power

Motors, drives, batteries and power management where efficiency directly buys endurance.

04

Communications

Radios and datalinks that behave sensibly when contested, congested or intermittent.

05

Structures & materials

Lightweight, rugged structures and the materials and processes behind them.

06

Manufacturing & test

Precision manufacture, assembly, and environmental or reliability test services.

What We Look For

How we choose.

Beyond the obvious question of whether a component performs, these are the things that decide whether a supplier relationship works.

  • Technical honestyDatasheets that hold up in our conditions, and a straight answer when something will not do what we need.
  • Supply resilienceAvailability we can plan a programme around, and early warning of changes or obsolescence.
  • ComplianceWillingness and ability to work within applicable export-control and trade obligations.
  • Engineering accessSomeone technical we can actually talk to when an integration question arises.

To introduce your company, email partnerships@rewinddynamics.com with a short description of what you make and where you think it fits. Please do not send sensitive, proprietary or export-controlled material in a first email — tell us it exists and we will arrange an appropriate channel. All engagements are subject to screening and applicable export-control obligations; see security & compliance.
