In defence, quality is not a finish; it is evidence. The question is never whether a system worked once, but whether you can demonstrate it will work again, explain why, and show the record. That standard shapes how we build.
The Standard
Evidence, not
assertion.
Autonomy makes quality harder than conventional engineering. A traditional mechanism can be specified, tested against that specification and signed off. An autonomous system behaves differently in different circumstances by design, which means quality has to be established across a range of situations rather than at a single operating point.
Our answer is to treat evidence as the deliverable. Every claim we make internally is expected to be backed by a recorded, repeatable result — and where we cannot yet demonstrate something, we say so rather than implying it.

These practices are proportionate to our stage today and are being formalised as the company grows toward fielded systems.
- Traceable requirementsKnowing why each requirement exists, and being able to point to the evidence that it is met.
- Repeatable verificationTests that can be re-run on demand and produce the same answer — the basis of every claim.
- Configuration controlKnowing exactly what software and hardware are in any given unit, and being able to rebuild it exactly.
- Recorded runsEvery simulated and physical run captured so it can be replayed, reviewed and audited later.

A run that went wrong is more valuable than one that went right, and it is kept.

Evaluators are welcome to examine our approach under appropriate terms.
Everything described here is under active research and development. Nothing has been fielded, and we do not publish specifications or performance figures. Our first end-to-end mission test is planned for December 2026. Technical detail is shared directly with partners, evaluators and the armed forces under appropriate terms — get in touch.
