Robots built in a human form, for roles where that shape is genuinely the right one — moving through spaces made for people, using equipment made for people, and going where wheels and tracks cannot. This is a serious, long-horizon research programme.
Why Human Form
The world is already
built for people.
A human-shaped robot is not a novelty — it is a way to inherit an entire world of infrastructure for free. Doors, stairs, ladders, vehicles, handles and tools were all designed around human proportions. A machine with roughly those proportions can use them without anyone rebuilding the environment.
We are deliberately honest about this: humanoid robotics is one of the hardest open problems in the field, and we treat it as research rather than a product roadmap. The payoff, if it works, is a platform that can go where a tracked robot cannot and do work that would otherwise put a person at risk.
The Programme
Fundamentals before features.
We are not chasing demonstrations. The programme is focused on the small number of things that decide whether a legged, human-scale platform is viable at all.
- Locomotion & balanceWalking, recovering from a stumble and staying upright over ground that was never made flat.
- Whole-body controlCoordinating many joints at once so the machine moves deliberately rather than reactively.
- Perception & navigationUnderstanding a space — stairs, doorways, obstacles — and moving through it purposefully.
- Safe around peoplePredictable behaviour and clear limits, because these platforms work alongside human teams.

We describe these as directions, not commitments. Each is a role where sending a machine instead of a person is the entire point.
Hazardous entry
Going first into a structure or environment that is unsafe for people.
Human-built spaces
Stairs, ladders, doorways and vehicles that wheels and tracks simply cannot manage.
Heavy or repetitive work
Sustained physical tasks that wear people down over a long deployment.
Working beside a team
Operating predictably in the same space as the people it supports.
Humanoid robotics is our longest-horizon effort. This system is under active research and development. Nothing described here has been fielded, and we do not publish specifications or performance figures. Our first end-to-end mission test is planned for December 2026.
