Commencing development of our first unmanned aerial system

A milestone for the team: we have begun focused development on our first autonomous unmanned aerial system.

We're pleased to share a milestone. After two years building the team and the groundwork, we have begun focused development on our first autonomous unmanned aerial system.

What we're focused on

Our emphasis is on the autonomy that makes a UAV genuinely useful in the field, rather than on any single flashy feature. That means:

  • Reliable autonomous navigation, with the operator supervising rather than piloting.
  • Useful onboard perception — detecting and reporting what matters.
  • Sensible behaviour when the link is degraded or the picture is incomplete.

Software first

In keeping with how we work, a great deal of this begins in simulation. We prove behaviour in software — where we can repeat difficult situations as often as we like — before committing to hardware and the field.

We record every run, assess it honestly, and feed what we learn straight back into the next iteration.

What's next

This is the start of a long, careful process, and we'll be deliberate about what we say and when. For partners and evaluators interested in the detail, the right way to engage is directly — please get in touch.
